Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) establishes a standardized process for copyright holders to request the removal of infringing content. Ecom Accelerator LLC is committed to complying with the DMCA and addressing copyright concerns promptly. For more information about the DMCA, please visit the U.S. Copyright Office’s official website.

As with all legal matters, we recommend consulting with a professional for specific questions or situations. This page is for informational purposes only and should not be considered legal advice.

Accurate Information

The DMCA requires that all facts in your notice of infringement be stated under penalty of perjury. Intentionally providing false information in a sworn declaration is a federal crime (see U.S. Code, Title 18, Section 1621). Submitting inaccurate or false claims could result in legal consequences, including civil liability.

Investigate Before Filing

Filing a DMCA notice is a serious legal action. Ecom Accelerator urges you to conduct a thorough investigation and consult an attorney to ensure the use in question is not permissible under copyright law. A great first step is to contact the content creator directly before filing a notice.

No Automated Bots

Ecom Accelerator does not process automated or bulk DMCA takedown requests made by bots. Each DMCA request must be reviewed by a trained professional to ensure validity. Invalid or bulk notices may result in rejection.

Counter Notices

If your content is affected by a DMCA takedown notice, you may submit a counter notice if you believe the takedown was a mistake. If we receive a valid counter notice, the content will be restored within 14 days unless the original complainant provides notice of legal action.
